October Afternoon Report Card & Schoolhouse

First of all I'm sorry about the poor quailty of the pictures...the lighting in my house at night is not great and I was using my phone to take these pictures. I added information about the products that I used in each layout and almost everything we have at our crops.

Of course I took lots of pictures on Sarah's first day of pre-school and I was very excited to use these October afternoon collections. The plaid stamp at the bottom is a Unity Stamp Co, the Apple is a die cut using the Cricut "Give a Hoot" cartridge, and the Hello My Name Is stamp is a Close to my Heart Stamp from "Good Work" stamp set. Apple stem is Papertrey Ink paper as well as the green paper the picture is mounted on. Papertrey Ink "Simply Chartreuse" is a great matching green to use with a lot of the October Afternoon lines. The base paper is Colonial White from Close to my Heart. All other Paper and embellishments are October Afternoon Report Card, Schoolhouse, and Campfire.

My base page is the yellow w/polka dots by October Afternoon Farm Fresh Collection Farmhouse Paper. Next I layered with October Afternoon Report Card Bus Route paper. Striped Ribbon is Pumpkin from Stampin Up. All pictures are mounted on Papertrey Ink paper. The Little Things stamp is Ippity by Unity Stamp Co. The tree is a die cut using Cricut Give a Hoot cartridge. Tree trunk paper is Crunching Leaves by October Afternoon Weathervane Collection . Top of the tree is Simply Chartreuse by Papertrey Ink. The branch with leaves and birds in a nest is a stamp from Love you Forever Stamp set by Close to my Heart. I stamped it several times on different papers and cut out the individual pieces and put them all together to get the look. It wasn't difficult but a little time consuming, and might I add Worth it!

Base paper is Chalkboard from Schoolhouse Collection by October Afternoon. Tags are die cuts using Cricut Plantin Schoolbooks Cartridge. The paper used for the tags: Workbook from Schoolhouse Collection by October Afternoon. Flower at bottom right are die cuts using Cricut Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge cut on Chalkboard and Workbook paper. Red scalloped edge is a Shape Sticker from Schoolhouse by October Afternoon. Remember Date is shape sticker Schoolhouse collection. Solid colored paper is Papertrey Ink. Punch was by EK Success. Flower stamp is from October Afternoon. Red brad is American Crafts, blue brads are Basic Grey. I don't know if you can see on the stamped flower but I created dew drops on the big flower using Liquid Glass by Close to my Heart.

My base paper is Colonial White from Close to my Heart, layered on that is Flash Card from Schoolhouse by October Afternoon. AEIOU stars are Shape Stickers from Report Card. Going to school blue paper with boy and girl is cut out from Workbook paper from Schoolhouse. Plaid photo cormers are stamped using Ippity by Unity Stamp Co.

Scrappers Block

I know that once in awhile we all get scrappers block. When this happens I grab my computer and look through all the beautiful layouts people have kindly shared online. I wanted to share a blog with you called Pencil Lines. Each week they put up a new sketch and they have many different examples of what you can do with that one sketch..
Hope this helps you get out of your scrappers block!
